Signal Studio uses no accounts, comments, advertising identifiers, session replay, behavioral advertising, or analytics cookies.

Current measurement

The site is static HTML and public assets hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare Web Analytics measures aggregate page views and performance without analytics cookies. Cloudflare currently retains unsampled beacon data for seven days, aggregates longer-term data, and makes Web Analytics reports available for up to six months.

A first-party endpoint records only the approved event name, an hourly UTC bucket, the query-free page path, optional controlled book or guide slug, a coarse referral channel, and the US outbound market. These custom events are stored in Cloudflare Workers Analytics Engine for three months. The custom adapter honors browser Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

Access and processing

Analytics access is limited to authorized administrators of the Signal Studio Cloudflare account. No custom data-localization region is configured. Disabling the binding stops new custom events; stored custom events expire under the provider’s three-month retention. Because Signal Studio does not write a user or device identifier, it cannot retrieve or delete an individual visitor’s event history.

Prohibited measurement

The analytics contract rejects article text, user input, search queries, full IP addresses, email addresses, stable session identifiers, device fingerprints, full referrer URLs, URL query strings, and any inference about an Amazon purchase. Hosting and security providers still process ordinary network request data under their own terms.

Public crawling

Public pages are intentionally available to search, answer-discovery, user-initiated, and model-training crawlers. Manuscripts, KDP files, internal QA, and private publishing assets are not part of the public site; robots.txt is not used as a substitute for authentication.

External links

Following an Amazon or other external link subjects the visitor to that service’s privacy terms. A Kindle event records only departure from a Signal Studio page and the `US` market. It cannot observe a cart, account, sample read, purchase, or any later Amazon activity.
